Namely, there’s growing evidence that store-bought ketchup can put your health at serious risk, mostly because of the ingredients it contains, such as high fructose corn syrup (HFCS), as well as a number of taste enhancers to make its taste as delicious as it is.
The thing is commercial brands are packed with sugar, which is why they trigger a spike in blood sugar when consumed. Plus, they have no real nutritional value. What’s more, even the organic varieties contain certain questionable ingredients.
As for HFCS, not many
people know that this highly refined sugar, which is cheaper than sugar, is commonly used to extend the shelf life of almost all processed foods.

HOW TO MAKE ORGANIC KETCHUP IN JUST 2 MINUTES:
- 1 cup organic tomato paste (get some here)
- 1 tbsp raw organic honey (get some here)
- 1 tbsp raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar (get some here)
- 1/4 tsp mustard (get some here)
- 1/2 tsp sea salt (get some here)
- 1/4 cup water
- Optional: 1/4 tsp onion powder (get some here)
Simply take all these ingredients and stir them into a bowl until they have the density of ketchup, add it to a glass jar and store in the fridge! use when needed.
